Do you have a Speedway gas station nearby or frequent an area that does?  If so, are you signed up for the Speedy Rewards program and opted-in to email updates?  If you aren't, you need to be.  Not only do you get rewarded for purchasing fuel and convenience store items, but you are also sent a coupon for a free item via email each month!  This month, the Speedy Rewards August Update email contained a link as shown below:

As it says, when you click on the link, you are directed to a printable coupon good for a free 16oz Snapple at any Speedway.  Make sure to bring your Speedy Rewards card with you, as it is required to use the coupon.

Have a Bash At Smashburger

There's a great restaurant deal today on Groupon.  If you are lucky enough to live in one of these cities, you can purchase a $12 voucher for Smashburger for only $6.  This is my gourmet hamburger joint of choice - even over the popular Five Guys.  If you live in one of the participating cities and have never eaten at Smashburger, you MUST try it.  They are known for their Smashfries - french fries covered in rosemary, olive oil, and garlic...yum! 

If you are a Smash fan, head over to the Smashburger website and sign up for their Smashclub.  You will receive pretty good money saving offers a few times a year.  For example, they sent out a coupon for a free Smashburger with purchase of any entree or kids meal for Father's Day.  Make sure to check your Spam folder, though, because I always find that my emails from them sneak in there.

Can a frugal person really shop at Gymboree?  Some days yes, some days no.  Right now it's a definite yes.

Some days, it pays to shop online!  If you haven't been taking advantage of the great deals from Shopathome for their 10th birthday, then you need too.  Through August 21st they are giving an extra 10% back at select stores, including Walmart!  This means that you'll receive 12.5% cash back from online purchases rather than the usual 2.5%.  Wow!

Today's Groupon for Dayton* is all about coffee!  For $10, you get $20 worth of whole-bean or ground-coffee delivery from Cooking.com. This Groupon can be applied toward shipping as well.  Or, even better, you can select "Schedule to Save" and get free shipping.  If you don't want to continue shipments, you can cancel at any time.  I recommend waiting until your order ships or is received and then immediately cancel the subscription.  It's just a button click on their website, so it's very easy.  You should select to have delivery every 6 months so that you have plenty of time to cancel the subscription.

How to Save at the Deli Counter

Here is a tip from the Frugal Guru: scan the deli counter.  Believe it or not the deli counter can be a fantastic place to find coupons.  If you are paying attention, you can often find tear off pads of coupons for deli meats and cheeses on or near the deli counter.  I've noticed them to be particularly prevalent at Meijer.  Every week I can usually snag a couple of coupons for a $1.00 off some kind of meat or cheese.  You can either use them right away or, what I like to do, wait and use them when that particular product goes on sale.  Take a look at this awesome coupon I snagged a couple of weeks ago:

I held on to this coupon and as luck would have it Meijer had an awesome sale on none other than Armour deli meat this week!

That's right, Armour Deli Meat for $3.49/lb, which in and of itself is a fantastic deal.  Combining that with my $1.00 off coupon I got 1 lb of Armour Virginia Brand Ham for $2.49!!!  I must add...it's very tasty!  I've seen coupons for all sorts of stuff such as Land O' Lakes Cheese, Presidente Cheese, Hard Salami etc.
